Above Image Description: A fun, joyous outdoor group picture of masked class attendees in colorful activewear posing together in three rows, looking into the camera. One class-goer seated at center on the grass is holding a neon green sign that says, "Queerobics," and another participant is holding a disco ball.
WHAT we do
Queerobics is a pop-up, accessibility-centered community dance aerobics class and performance project all in one.
We aim to celebrate moving together, both literally and metaphorically, toward an anti-ableist, anti-racist, fat liberationist, consent-centered practice.

ABOUT US
Queerobics West Philly is a collectively-run, monthly pop-up, accessibility-centered, all-levels, masked community dance aerobics class and performance all in one. This project is led and steered by queer and trans dance artists, performers of all flavors, and chronically ill community members.
Our Dance Captains demonstrate movement variations in real time alongside the lead instructor, including low impact variations and participation from a seated position.
Classes are donation-based, and we send a portion of our class donations to a coalition, artist/activist, or mutual aid organizations. Past organizations have included Save the UC Townhomes Coalition, No Arena efforts, and ACT UP Philadelphia.
